Am I walking into a set from Star trek?

Okay, so I had my MRI done today. The first part lasted 30 minutes with the instructions: you may breathe, swallow and blink your eyes. So of course you know that everything in your body that could possibly itch started itching! But I knew, from reading on the internet, that if they stop in the middle of the process, they have to start all over. So I was too stubborn to let that happen.

Have any of you had an MRI done lately? You walk into this room and it looks like a hovering spacecraft suspended from the thing that would keep a spacecraft in place. Anyway, I get situated, and they push my "board type thing" that I am laying on underneath this thing. It's like off white and 30 feet wide or so. So technically it's not a tunnel that you might have seem on tv, it's open, but it's not like I can sit up, cause that would ruin the scan.

Regardless, she gave me earplugs  for the "jack hammering" sound that would take place, and pads for my head that would keep my head in place if I fell asleep (which remarkably I didn't do) and a helmet that would keep my head from moving as well. And she gave me blankets to keep me warm. She also gave me something in my left hand that I could squeeze at any point if I needed to stop, which was reassuring.

After 30 minutes, she stopped the machine, pulled me out, injected some dye in my arm for contrast on the scan and 10 minutes later I was done!

So the doctor's office gets the results tomorrow or the next day. I really hope they call me with good news. And I'd really like to figure out what's going on with my leg and all b/c it feels so weird!  I'll keep you all updated!

What is wrong with your leg?!? I'm going back to look at Joshua's picture (assuming you have one on your page), but I'm sure he's perfectly adorable :)
